Abstract

The article analyzed the impact of the non-use of ICTs on political abstentionism among young Colombians in the 2022-2025 presidential elections. A descriptive methodology was applied, based on the analytical method, supported by official figures and trends of the types of voters who exercise the right to vote. It was concluded that one of the possible causes of this is that young people in Colombia do not vote or are influenced to do so because the electoral strategies of the aspirants only direct their strategy to populations older than 30 years on average. This has allowed abstentionism in young people to grow exponentially and sustainably, which is a problem for the state in not relying on ICTs and achieving a more significant number of votes in the presidential elections between 2022 and 2025.
