Abstract

The purpose of this article is to diagnose the productive process of a lithographic company in Barranquilla to identify the deficiencies that its current printing process presents. The ARENA software is used to simulate the behavior of the productive system. And it is identified that there is a low level of use of the resources since not even 50% of the capacity of the machines and operators is used. Therefore, it is suggested to assign fewer operators to the activities of cutting, designing, and packaging. With this, it is concluded that, due to the absence of studies of the different processes, lithographic companies may be omitting important data that may allow them to eliminate or reduce bottlenecks and increase the productivity of the organization.
