Conflict of interest policy

The journal requires full disclosure of any conflict of interest that may influence the interpretation or presentation of results, in accordance with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.

Conflicts of interest may include:

  • Financial (funding, fees, consultancies)
  • Institutional
  • Personal or academic
  • Patent or intellectual property-related

Responsibilities:

  • Authors: must disclose all conflicts of interest at submission.
  • Reviewers: must decline reviews where conflicts exist
  • Editors: must recuse themselves from decisions when conflicts arise

Declared conflicts will be published alongside the article.

Failure to disclose conflicts may result in rejection, retraction, or institutional notification.
