Abstract

Being part of society and its organization seems natural and simple, however, participating in it is not an easy thing, since it involves established norms, in this sense it is necessary to study the organization and individuals separately. The research analyzed negotiation as a managerial alternative in educational organizations, as stated by Lussier R., Achua C. (2002) and Sastre V. Rosa (2006). The positivist epistemological tendency and its orientation are assumed from the empirical-experimental method, corresponding to the quantitative paradigm, typifying the study under a descriptive approach, with an ex post facto field design. 69 teaching directors were taken from the Institutions of the III Stage of Basic Education. A questionnaire was used, with a Likert-type scale, made up of 46 items. The statistical coefficient of alpha cronbach was used, achieving a result of 0.81. The responses of principals and teachers do not have a negotiation style or defined strategies. A fundamental aspect of the construct was to identify the types of conflicts in institutions of the III stage of basic education.
