Data Sharing Policy
CESTA embraces the principles of open science and encourages authors to share the data supporting the results presented in their manuscripts.
However, disclosure of data will not be mandatory when publication may compromise the privacy, confidentiality, protection, or safety of research participants, or when such disclosure conflicts with applicable legal, contractual, or ethical obligations.
Authors are encouraged to organize, deposit, and make their data available before submitting the manuscript or, at the latest, at the time of submission to the journal.
Whenever possible, data should be deposited in open-access repositories that comply with the FAIR principles, ensuring that they are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
To preserve the integrity of the double-blind peer review process, information related to repositories, links, identifiers, or data sources should not be included in the version of the manuscript sent for review. Instead, this information must be provided separately during the submission process in the section intended for comments to the editor.
Data Citation
CESTA recommends that authors follow good practices for citing research data and datasets associated with the submitted manuscript.
Whenever relevant, authors should indicate where the data related to the article can be found, as well as the conditions governing access, restriction, or reuse. Persistent identifiers, stable links, and DOIs should be provided whenever available.
Dataset citations must follow the journal’s citation style, being included in the reference list according to the order in which they appear in the text and using the corresponding consecutive numbering. All cited data, repositories, or research materials must be referenced in a complete and verifiable manner.
