Abstract

This project presents a comparative analysis of two clamp manufacturing methods: one without progressive dies and one with progressive dies. The simulation was carried out using specialized software to evaluate the efficiency, costs and production times of both approaches, this study provides a solid basis for decision making in the clamp manufacturing industry, highlighting the importance of technological innovation in the improvement of production processes. The purpose of this project is through the detailed analysis of simulations, to identify at which stages of the process excessive delays occur and what adjustments are necessary to improve the overall performance. The company Herrajes Andina S.A. is an outstanding Colombian organization, recognized for its leadership in the metalworking sector and its export capacity. A methodology is proposed that involves the detailed observation of both techniques, with and without die. Through a meticulous record of the time and resources used in each stage, these processes will be modeled in the Arena simulation software.
