Traditional games as a ludic-methodological strategy to develop artistic-cognitive skills in students.

Abstract
The game, the recreation and the artistic activities constitute the main axis the cognitive development of the child. The objective of this research is to determine the relevance of traditional games as a strategy and pedagogical tool to develop artistic-cognitive skills in students of 10th and 11th of the Pedro de Heredia Departmental Educational Institution. An ethnographic qualitative approach is applied that allows capturing a contextual reality; through qualitative research. The opinion of 30 students was assessed in order to establish the most relevant play strategies to develop cognitive skills through traditional games such as bingo, lottery and dice that had 100% acceptance. In response to the general objective, it has been possible to establish the high incidence and relevance of the use of traditional games for the development of cognitive artistic skills, which makes possible a new educational scenario conducive to comprehensive education.
