Mediation strategies to strengthen oral communication in the higher secondary level
Main Article Content
Abstract
Communication at the pre-university level is of great importance because it is intended that the graduates of this level are critical, participatory, active people, to expose opinions and arguments. In this context, this article aims to propose didactic mediation strategies to strengthen oral communication processes from the Spanish Literature class in students of the Upper Intermediate Level. We work on a documentary and field design that includes a theoretical component and an empirical one, where techniques such as surveys, participant observation and semi-structured interviews are applied to a group of pre-university students. Among the results, achievements in a quantitative and qualitative dimension stand out; based on the information accumulated in the final inquiry and taking as a reference the development of skills for oral expression, in the following ranges: low 2 (8.0 %); medium 2 (8.0 %); high 21 (84 %). Among the main conclusions, the proposed strategies are validated since they aim to strengthen mediation processes around communicational skills, training them from the criteria of assertiveness, effectiveness and efficiency.
