Abstract

Internet usage has surged, connecting approximately 66% of the global population, with countries like Colombia reaching a mobile Internet penetration rate of 86.09 per 100 by 2023. Maintaining continuous access is crucial as the Internet becomes indispensable in daily life. A key aspect of ensuring the reliability of Internet services is the monitoring of telecommunications links and equipment. This process enables real-time network performance assessment, detecting speed, traffic type, application usage, and unauthorized access. These metrics are essential for evaluating Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE), ensuring efficient and uninterrupted Internet connectivity.
