Abstract

The main aim of this research paper was to know the perception of a group of four years old low-income children about their family in Colombia. A qualitative study with a phenomenological design was carried out in a sample of thirty-five subjects of study that belong to social welfare stratum one and two (SISEN). The information was recollected via semi-structured survey and it was devised fourteen possible family member´s animated illustrations as a visual stimulation technique. The results state that the family concept to children are based on their own perceptions related to attachment and the way they are bringing up. On the other hand, family dynamics are an influential factor to elaborate on a positive or negative conception about their home and relatives.
