Abstract
We live in a complex and ever-changing world where we face major challenges and difficulties (globalization, inequalities, pandemics, global warming and climate change, poverty, violence against women, wars, neoliberal policies, etc.). The education of future generations is the key that opens the door to hope, as well as to the possibilities of change and transformation—from an unjust world for many human beings to a more peaceful and supportive one. In this social and educational context, higher education becomes especially important, particularly the initial training of teachers and other professionals working in educational settings. They will be the ones to educate the generations of tomorrow.
