Cultural diversity in the promotion of the development of social skills in higher education

Abstract
The article aims to emphasize the importance of diversity management in institutions of higher edu-cation, with the aim of promoting the development of social skills in students. The idea is to integra-te them into internal processes, both academics as transverse, supported shafts in these activities stu-dents can socialize according to share your ideas, concerns and expertise by encouraging reflexive processes, generating knowledge of desirable beha-vior in a given context. The methodology used was descriptive and documentary literature stressing the thematic cultural diversity and social skills such as main axes. The findings suggest to analyze the problems of social competence, in general students, prompting a repertoire with the behaviors and skills necessary to act in a certain interpersonal situation. Also is required to apply reinforcement, promote models appropriate to stimulate the college student, creating opportunities for social learning, on the ba-sis of cultural diversity.
