Thermal comfort from the perspective of vernacular architecture. Decolonizing sustainable technologies

Abstract
Results of an ongoing investigation that aims to develop a process of social innovation in the indigenous community of Puerto Viejo, Tolú, Sucre are presented. It is intended in this article to recognize-understand thermal comfort from the findings of Colombian vernacular architecture, to value the production techniques of indigenous habitat as an important heritage of sustainable strategies that is necessary to rethink the present-future of Latin American cities. Analyzes of the thermal comfort in the Zenú habitat are compared with different vernacular technologies from other indigenous communities in Colombia, with the intention of demonstrating the adaptability of these forms of architectural production to the contextual realities of our territory.
