Abstract

The paper shows an experience of methodological adaptation of a technical subject in the context of an Architecture degree. Different initiatives are proposed to promote meaningful learning and the achievement of certain competencies. The workshop learning technique is analyzed, and its current configuration in the undergraduate degree at the University of A Coruña is described. The aim is to link the learning of structures, projects, urban planning and construction, so that the student develops in the workshop a project of architecture common to all subjects under a global and unitary approach. Reflections are raised on the dynamics of the workshop and the use of the portfolio, incorporated to promote reflective competence, self-evaluation of the student, and the evaluation of processes. A final survey shows a very positive assessment of the students, as well as the need to improve coordination strategies between areas.
